SYCLOPS - I've Got My Eye On You, DFA

Rare grooving house and post-disco from DFA records new darlings Syclops with a fair amount of help from dancefloor supremo Maurice Fulton. The styles blend and blur between cosmic synth driven dancefloor fillers, driven by the intuitive jams of the bands four members on keys, bass, drums and various electronic tools, which are then moulded into prime dancefloor gear by Maurice Fulton's trusted hands. The best tracks here would have to be the fabulously gay house styles of '5 out', recent synth abusing single 'where's Jason K?' or 'Mom, the video broke' which sounds uncannily like Four tet, meaning it's really just the Maurice Fulton programmed cuts that really tickle us but the other seven tracks contain enough loose limbed indie disco fun to keep you going until it's time to buy a new pair of plimsols.
