New Takemura album and a one off project for Australia's Extreme label. Forget the more recent Tak albums for a moment as 'Water's Suite' concentrates on the more experiment leanings of this prolific producer. A six part suite or dronesque ambience, clipped sonics and reduced melodics. Each track has obvious aquatic undercurrents from waves crashing on the beach to the drip of a tap. 'Water's Suite' is the midway point between Nobukazu's pop glitch wonders and his new Assembler project which promises pure abstractness. Thrill Jockey are releasing two of the most recent Takemura albums in February and March, '10th' includes some of his finest work to date.
