The excellent Japanese based house label Mule Electronic always turn up something for the left-of-centre electronic house heads and IMPS are no exception. 'Almost live but definitely plugged' is a slack disco house groove with fizzing electronics and a defined Arthur Russel-esque melodic sensibility, further proved on 'Uncle Limps' with the electric walking bass almost a homage to the man himself. Highly recommended double disco dope house grooves.
