**Matt Gold Vinyl** They've certainly had a good couple of years raking in the remix commissions, and no doubt the royalty cheques for the still-ubiquitous 'Over And Over' continue to wallpaper their studio, but somehow Hot Chip have managed to motivate themselves into making another album. 'Ready For The Floor' (which for the purposes of this format appears in an edited-for-radio version) serves as the first single, looking to broaden the band's festival-dance-tent-ready repertoire, and certainly, the right boxes are checked: there's plenty in the way of electropop hooks and like 'Over And Over' it's dance music whose title and lyrics dip into the language and mechanics of dance music. As back-up this 7" format comes pressed up on gold vinyl with the kooky, yet largely appealing B-side 'Bubbles They Bounce'.
