Back in stock!!!! The arrival of each T++ twelve has become something of an event round these parts, particularly over the course of the last year or so and the stylistic refinement that has taken this signature sound away from any feasible reference points and towards its own peerless plateau. T++ merges primary elements that just can't be argued with - a percussive complexity that has as much in common with Autechre as it does with Burial, a squashed sound palette lifted straight from the Chain Reaction rulebook T++ himself had a hand in creating, and a sturdy BASS presence that as I write this is shaking the floorboards underneath me. "Worn Down" is just epic in its scale and ferocity, emerging with a distant cacophonous rumble that eases into a metallic percussive shuffle that's propulsive and weighty with equal measure. Looped into a determined pitch that lasts all the way until a malfunctioning breakdown several minutes later, the track is so f*cked up it threatens to unravel at any moment yet somehow chugs back to life with an exhilarating realignment and engagement with harrowing found sounds and even a righteous delay stagger before its end. "100 Bar" on the flip follows in the same vein but has more of a shuffle to it, imbuing proceedings with a kind of alien 2-step sensibility that's in keeping with T++'s constant fascination and flirtation with beats at their most fragmented. The genius at the core of these tracks is the ability to merge decimated percussive structures with such a deadly swing, making for music that's as demented as it is funked up. 100 copies only of this twelve in the country - we strongly urge you not to sleep on this one. Killer!
