Making his Kalk Pets debut, Paul Friederick Frick sets aside elements from the classical background that dominates is biog, instead favouring a more confirmed electronic approach to his 4/4 productions. 'Do Something' is a funky slice of electric piano house, and correspondingly, its counterpart, 'Something Blue' keeps everything on a warm, soulful gradient. 'Got The Blues' features some great insurgent stabs that cut through the mix in diced-up Secondo-type fashion, while 'I Do' bravely ushers the EP out with some slap bass buffoonery.
