Good to see Kit Clayton back in action, with this split twelve with Sutekh featuring the discordant progressions of "Loroco" - another forward thinking production from a clearly gifted producer. Gone are the reverberating dubisms of his early material for the Scape label, in come some obtuse, almost ugly synth sounds and robust percussion that's almost fierce enough to gain comparison to the British Murder Boys, except with a bit more of a swing. There's still a steppa vibe somewhere in the mix, but there's really nothing contemplative or airy about this work. The Jorge Savoretti & Lucas Mari Mix is predictably more straightforward and Minimal, while Sutekh's "Make It With The Bow" on the flip is a more cheeky plastic funk workout, something you might expect to find on the Proptronix imprint. Good stuff - check!
