Originally released in 1996, and finally available again after huge demand, this is the complete recording of a 'banned' radio broadcast made by French madman philosopher Antonin Artaud. Apparently after hearing it recorded the radio director censored it on the spot, of course making history there and then - everyone knows once you ban something people want to hear/see/do it, whether they wanted to before or not. I'd like to comment on the content of this speech, but sadly my French isn't much better than asking where the bank is so getting into philosophy is of course beyond me, but the crackly and degraded squawks of the madman are occasionally interspersed with percussive hits and blips which break up the incessant Gallic rambling. This is obviously a really important recording, and is of course handled beautifully by Sub Rosa but I'd recommend a degree in French to get maximum enjoyment...
