In another of this weeks Timothy, Revelator related albums, the musician teams up regular collaborator Sarada for some spooky vocal action and Shane Speal who throws down bass and guitar. The record is markedly different from the other two out this week, falling in a far more psychedelic realm than it's folk-tinged companions, yet it still has that crumbling age-old feeling which is impossible to pin down. Revelator himself plays guitar, banjo, dulcimer, harmonium, lute and various other impossibly obscure instruments, and constructs an album of quite unusual appeal. As tumbling vocals are swallowed up in a sea of noise and atonal instrumentation it is easy to see how Revelator has garnered so much critical acclaim for his prolific output. Highly recommended for cider drinkers and bearded folk followers everywhere!
