Back in stock! How absolutely righteous to have this rediculously good album/remix/mix/headmash session finally available to public consumption. M.I.A.'s hugely acclaimed Arular album was subject to endless delays - something to do with the myriad samples used by boy-wonder and beatmangling genius Diplo and the wondrous production he applied to some of the standout tracks from the Arular sessions. The released version of the album ended up featuring quite substantial changes and re-recorded segments for these tracks - presumably a problem with sample clearance that couldn't be obtained. This staggering cd features these tracks as they were originally intended - a much rougher, dirtier and nastier session that's so good and fresh its impossible to fathom in one sitting and has, in the short time since it first surfaced, become THE favourite party mix for at least 100000000 people I know. And no wonder - Diplo's most insane and frivolous tricks with a beatbox and a sampler, cutting up hits from the likes of Madonna, Salt N Peppa, Eurythmics, The Bangles and so on are just terrifyng. Every good-time loving girl and boy need a copy of this - it really doesn't get much better. Mighty.
