Tom Thiel and Daniel Meteo return with this latest BUS album for the Scape imprint, once again enlisting the help of MC Soom T for a session of dubwise/padded hip hop blends in fine style. Dub, hip-hop and electronic elements provide the imaginary demarcation lines for an expansive freestyle adventure that might even spawn the odd house track. “Rose Specs” is a cranked handclaps killer, kickstarting a jam which, for a good two minutes, leaves raw, untweaked keyboard and guitar tracks to their own devices. MC Soom-T adds her boyish and soulful rhymes to the instrumentals of “Diamond In The Rough” and “The Answer”, while MC Rhino and Gonzales-collaborator Paul PM add vocals to “Twistin” and “Perdu”. The final offbeat House of “My Night” features a session with Ras T-Weed of the Overproof Soundsystem. Good stuff.
