Lawrence releases 'Swap', his first single from his forthcoming new album for Novamute. If this and the previous two long players are anything to go by, its bound to be worth taking notice. The third album will be called, "The night will last forever", and 'swap' shimmers and glide rules a dancefloor with aching melancholy, subtle melodies, deft pads - cool german minimal know how. Lawrence's partner from the Dial records label is Carsten Jost, who in tandem with label artist Serafin delivers yet more sublime mixes making an all round beautifully crafted package. Lawrence rocks the deep house rhythm nice - nuanced subtlety magnetizes the melody to a pitched up rolling bassline, effortless grooves from rainy Hamburg, sounding just fine in sunny manchester this afternoon. Nice one.
