Extremely limited debut release from Scot/Germanic duo Box Codax who happen to number Nick McCarthy of Terry Wogan favourites Franz Ferdinand amongst their ranks. Lead track 'Boys and Girls' plunders Prince’s classic “It” for some sample back up over which Box Codax stretch the lo-fi dogma to breaking point as the lumpy vocals lead into a synth-pop chorus straight out of the pages of Neil Tennant-era Smash Hits. On the B-side is the Hawaiian flavoured acoustica of 'Red Wines in Tunis' which features a vocal performance half-way between a laconic Money Mark and Bert from Sesame Street.
