Making a stop-off at Playhouse, Snuff Crew dispense three new tracks, one of which is exclusive to this format. 'I Like It' takes a cutting bass riff and sets it amongst raw-edged drum machines without feeling particularly compelled to do too much but incrementally modulate and tweak the signals as time passes. Its an effective ploy that's sure to be effective on dancefloors, and 'Lovefreak' sensibly follows suit, keeping the track unconditioned and classic sounding, stirring up brooding synth noises and crunching handclaps. Bonus track 'The Name' is harder still, scaring up some monumentally powerful old-school beats.
