Wow!! Chris Lowe's 'The Black Life' is one of the best mid school sounding albums to have been released all year. Sounding like classic Main Source no less. Jam packed with old school breaks sounding fresh as ever. Guests include DJ Chuck Chillout, Large Professor, PMD, Dooley O, DJ Cash Money, Sadat X and Dinco D all sounding inspired. The most confusing thing is trying to find out when these tracks were first laid down. I'm guessing 91-94, but they could as easily be 2001-2003. If you love Edan, Insight and Mr.Lif then you'll need this album, all sixteen tracks of it. Very hot!!
