Heavyweight beat smasher Amon Tobin commits the first fruits of his Two Fingers project to vinyl with fellow Canuck producer Double Click, enhanced by a neat performance from UK grime gob Sway and a rave friendly revision from Emalkay. The track has previously only been available on a couple of Ninja Tune mixes last year, as Tobin tested out the his new sound, slinking away from the brutalised tech step he's know for and instead operating with grimy steppers syncopations to suit Sway's gutter inflections who actually sounds on top form here, meshing with Two Fingers slickly produced riddim like cheese on toast. Emalkay's remix on the flip swings the track into club territory, reconfiguring the beat to a harder dubstep flex and adding a tingling synthline arc in the final section to work for the DJs. Fans of Ghislain Poirier or Boxcutter should be checking this plate.
