Quite incredible album from Sketch Show, a project that has risen from the ashes of the legendary Yellow Magic Orchestra (Haruomi Hososno and Yukihiro Takahashi). "Loophole" evolves through its delicate popping microscopic clicks and pop structures into what sounds like a singer songwriter fairytale album fed through a laptop and spat out covered in velvet and loose wires. It sounds like an album that took a lifetime to record, not a glitch or scratch out of place, the threadbare vocals judged to perfection : fragile, vulnerable, touched.
