Dat Politic’s Skipp imprint furthers the madness with this great compilation of the early works of Yuri Gagarin devotee and sci-fi pop impresario Felix Kubin (with his brother Max and a friend called Stefan Mohr). Thirteen tracks : 35 mins. Immensely strange lyrics rough it up with hyper-active electro-pop-punk backing, sometimes like the work of an advanced Raymond Scott sometimes sounding like an Adult wet dream. Subtitled... version pop 1981-1985, this album showcases another side to the always interesting and occasionally essential work of Felix Kubin. Warmly recommended.
