All The Rage
CD
'Prisoner Of The Seven Pines' is a remix collection based on tracks from Pram's 'The Moving Frontier' album. It features remixes from Domino electronic duo Psapp, flashing psychedelic kid Grandmaster Gareth, Godsy (Gareth Cherrystone) and the childlike joy of Modified Toy Orchestra, as well as the album version of the title track which, with it's instinctive and delicate arrangement, sounds like a dance scene from some long forgotten animated fol... New mini album from the Pramsters featuring three brand new tracks alongside 'Mother Of Pearl' which first appeared on the acclaimed 'Museum of Imaginary Animals' LP released last year. It also includes a collection of remixes and reworkings of Pram tunes by other artists including Plone, Movietone, Tele:Funken and Andy Votel. Vinyl version to follow next week.
It's Domino's 10th anniversary this year and what better way than to kick it off than with a band that personify the little things that make Domino and it's roster so special. Pram's 'Dark Island' is a concept album steeped in the wonderful and weird and takes in the odd and solitary lives of a windswept seaside town in winter. Pervading all is a sleaziness, a dark underbelly captured by slinky guitar, drunken clarinet, brazen horn, sinister str... READ MORE ABOUT: PRAM, Dark Island, Domino ![]()
